Nice tour approximately 50km from Braunschweig Südstadt to the Elm and back to Braunschweig Südstadt. Tour is on a mixture of asphalt, paths and single trails with a really nice train through the woods after Klein Veltheim.

Sunday saw a little bike tour around the east of Braunschweig. Good weather had been predicted and as usual it RAINED!!!! Boo!! But undeterred I jumped onto the new bike to give it it’s first real outing. It ended up being quite a long one (36km).
Dispite rain and a LOT of mud I had a really good ride and Stefan and Gesa will vouch for me reaching Schandelah in one piece albeit a little bit muddy (came off bike again … was extreemly wet and fell over not going anywhere fast.
Thought I’d attach my tour for you to have a look at – more details coming soon to the tour including a route description an download for any biking fans out there.
It is spring again, the birds are singing and Jon’s trying a new hobby. As a few of you know I have been into cycling for a few years now (agreed I am a bit of a good weather cyclist) but I have decided to go offroad… yes mountain biking and this is my new baby:
